CALL FOR EOIs - For ONE position of ALAC Liaison and ONE position of ALAC Alternate to the Customer Standing Committee (CSC)

Dear All, On behalf of Jonathan Zuck, ALAC Chair, this is a call for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for ONE position of ALAC Liaison and ONE position of ALAC Alternate to the Customer Standing Committee (CSC). The CSC ensures the satisfactory performance of the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) naming function. The CSC is responsible for monitoring Public Technical Identifier’s (PTI) performance of the IANA naming function against the service level expectations in the IANA Naming Function Contract. The CSC analyzes performance reports provided by PTI and publishes its findings. CSC appointments will be for a two-year period with the option to renew for up to two additional two-year terms. Participation in the CSC is voluntary. The CSC is expected to perform most of its work telephonically and via email. Candidates should review the CSC Candidates Qualification Requirements<https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/csc-skill-set-matrix-members-li…> for details about candidate selection and the CSC Charter<https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/csc-charter-amended-27jun18-en.…> to understand the scope of the requirements and duties. The CSC onboarding deck<https://www.icann.org/en/csc/onboarding> may also be a helpful resource. As noted in the Charter, all candidates are required to submit an Expression of Interest (ALAC template attached) and should also include a resume or biography in support of their EOI. EOIs, using the ALAC template attached, should be sent to At-Large staff by Monday, 21 July 2025 at 23:59 UTC. The 2025 ALAC Appointee Selection Committee (AASC) will review all EoIs for the positions of ALAC Liaison and Alternate to the CSC. The names of the top candidates for the positions of Liaison and Alternate will be sent to the ALAC for review. At-Large staff will send the name of the selected ALAC Liaison and Alternate to the relevant staff by the deadline of 1 August 2025. ICANN org will submit the new CSC slate to the ccNSO and GNSO for approval by 5 August 2025. ICANN org will notify the CSC of new member, liaison, and alternate appointments by 26 September 2025.
