IGF Vilnius, September 2010: will you be there?

Hello everybody, At today's EURALO monthly conference call, a suggestion was made for a Virtual EURALO General Assembly (Virtual EURALO GA). The suggestion was to book a small meeting room during the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) to be held in Vilnius, Lithuania, on 14-17 September 2010 and to conduct a face to face meeting with all those present, whilst making provisions for remote participation by ALSes which were not going to be present at the IGF. The IGF taking place in Europe is likely to bring quite a few members from ALSes together since we are hoping for a strong representation of civil society groups and organisations. Whilst unfortunately no funding will be possible from ICANN, we are appealing to anyone who's already going to be in Vilnius to join us. So far our confirmed list of participants is: - Adam Peake - Annette Muehlberg - Olivier Crépin-Leblond - Sandra Hoferichter - Sébastien Bachollet - Wolf Ludwig - Wolfgang Kleinwächter - Yrjö Länsipuro In order to get a better idea of numbers, we'd like to know if *you* and *your ALS* will be present in Vilnius? DOODLE: Virtual EURALO General Assembly at the IGF in Vilnius

Dear All, As per decision at the 20 July EURALO teleconference, EURALO will hold a virtual General Assembly (GA) during the IGF in Vilnius (14 trough 17 September 2010). Please use the Doodle poll linked below to help us prepare the General Assembly and send us your availabilities to participate in this meeting - either remotely or at the LITEXPO Conference Center in Vilnius: http://www.doodle.com/3rxsciascwnvivbw Green - can participate Yellow - difficult, but not impossible to participate Red - can not participate The poll will remain open until Monday 9 August 2010. This will be a virtual GA, that is, a GA taking place as a teleconference call, with EURALO participants already in Vilnius for the IGF, present physically in a meeting room. Please not that there will be no travel allowances from ICANN to travel to the IGF. Without this coordination, we would not have one global Internet. The At-Large Community and the ICANN Board seat This Call for Statements of Interest (SOIs) is part of the new process through which the user community within ICANN will appoint one voting member of the ICANN Board.
