Schedule of At-Large wiki migration to Confluence

Dear All, As requested by the Chair of ALAC, we are moving ahead with the At-Large wiki migration from Social Text to Confluence. At-Large will be the first of the AC/SOs to migrate. We have been working closely with IT staff on the steps for the At-Large migration to Confluence. In order to ensure a smooth transition with the least amount of disruption of access to At-Large wiki pages, IT staff will be taking a 'snapshot' of the At-Large Social Text wiki this Monday, 6 September between 0:00-02:00 UTC. During this 2 hour window, there will be no public access to the At-Large Social Text wiki pages. However, following this brief period, the At-Large Social Text wiki pages will be able to be used until the At-Large Confluence wiki pages go live on Friday, 24 September. Between 7-12 September, migration of the At-Large Social text wikis (based on the 6 September snapshot) to Confluence workspaces will occur. Between 13-24 September, the At-Large workspaces and links will be placed in an order similar to the current At-Large Social Text wiki spaces. Currently, it is planned that the At-Large Confluence wiki pages will be able to go live, as noted above, on 24 September. During the week of the 27th of September there will be two 2-hour At-Large community Confluence training calls. There will be a Beginner's level call and an Intermediate level call. There will also be an opportunity for At-Large representatives to review the At-Large Confluence site with IT staff during a 2-hour session during the 39th ICANN Meeting in Cartagena de Indias. EURALO Elections 2010

Dear all, as current election terms expire (and pre-announced already on 6.08.), we have to open the process for the succession of Sébastien Bachollet’s ALAC seat starting from ICANN’s next Annual General Meeting in December in Cartagena/Colombia (AGM 2010 - AGM 2012). As Sébastien will complete his second term already by the end of year, he cannot be nominated again for an immediate prolongation. Matthias Langenegger from At-Large Staff updated the EURALO Election wiki page which can be found under: https://st.icann.org/euralo/index.cgi?2010_election_calls_euralo According to the Suggested Election Timeline, EURALO now opens a call for nominations for the open ALAC position (succession of Sébastien Bachollet): 1. Call for election: The regional Secretariat will make a call for election. 2. Nomination period: Nominations for this ALAC position can be posted on the EURALO list now and shall be accepted until 6 September 2010. 3. Acceptance deadline: The nominees need to accept their nomination no later than seven days after the nomination period ends (13 September 2010). 4. Election: The election (if we reach a quorum of participation) will be held during the next EURALO General Assembly 2010 on 15 September in Vilnius/Lithuania in line with the next Internet Governance Forum (IGF). If no quorum for elections will be reached, we will approve the nomination and discuss a formalising procedure. The EURALO election process 2010 will be an agenda point at our next monthly call coming Tuesday, 17 August PM (a call reminder will follow via a separate mail).
