CALL FOR MEMBERSHIP - ALAC Community Engagement Subcommittee (ACES)

Dear All, On behalf of Jonathan Zuck, ALAC Chair, please note that given the At-Large focus on the mobilization of campaigns that will utilize the global networks of At-Large, a new ALAC Community Engagement Subcommittee (ACES)<https://community.icann.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=414547990> has been established. The aim of ACES is to review requests from the At-Large community, other Supporting Organizations and Advisory Committees, and ICANN Org for mobilizing and developing campaigns that will utilize the global At-Large networks. It is envisioned that ACES will work collaboratively with the At-Large Capacity Building Working Group as well as with the requesting organization and At-Large community to ensure the strategies are implemented successfully. This is a call for membership to join ACES. At least one representative from each region is requested. Ideally, the representative will have prior experience of successfully creating and implementing campaigns and an understanding of how community driven campaigns work. Thecall will be open through Friday, 3 January at 23:59 UTC. ACES will hold a meeting the week of 13 January 2025. With Amrita Choudhury, ACES Chair, the members will work to develop a Charter and determine the group’s operational plans. With the launch of ACES, the ALAC Outreach and Engagement Subcommittee (OE-SC) will be archived. Call for EoIs for the ALAC/At-Large ICANN Fellowship Mentor and Fellowship Selection Committee representative

Dear All, On behalf of Jonathan Zuck, Chair of the ALAC, this is a call for Expressions of Interest (EoIs) to represent the ALAC/At-Large as either an ICANN Fellowship Mentor or Fellowship Selection Committee representative. Details of the ICANN Fellowship Mentor and the Fellowship Selection Committee positions are noted below. ICANN Fellowship Mentor (ICANN84-ICANN86) Eligibility for Fellowship Mentors: * Mentors must plan on a time commitment of approximately 30–40 hours before, during, and immediately after each ICANN Public Meeting. This includes extensive pre-meeting preparation, on-site support for their assigned fellows, and post-meeting support, where applicable. * Each mentor will serve a term that includes three consecutive ICANN Public Meetings, beginning with ICANN84 (ICANN84–ICANN86). * Mentors are expected to adhere to the Fellowship Program guidelines<https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/fellowship-mentoring-guidelines-2018-…> to help ensure consistency in capacity development opportunities for fellows and to help fellows actively participate in ICANN's work. * Mentors will receive travel funding support (if applicable). * Mentors cannot serve on the Selection Committee while serving their mentor terms Additional details of the ICANN Fellowship Mentoring program are available on the Fellowship Mentoring program website. <https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/fellowship-mentoring-2018-10-15-en> Fellowship Selection Committee (2025-2026) Fellowship Selection Committee Responsibilities * Members should plan on a time commitment of approximately 30–40 hours over four to five weeks for each Public Meeting. * Selection Committee members will typically serve for two years, which encompasses six Public Meetings. * Work for this role will begin in April 2025 with the selection of fellows for ICANN84. * The ICANN Fellowship Selection Committee is responsible for assessing all applications for the ICANN Fellowship<https://www.icann.org/fellowshipprogram> received through the online application system.
