Hello Anne, Thank you for the excellent question! The Absence Notification form is a formality aimed at voting councilors, to ensure that despite their absence, their vote is taken into account by the means of a proxy or temporary alternate assignment. Regarding non-voting Council members, such a yourself, as Non-Voting NomCom Appointee, there is no need to fill out the form. In case of an absence, you would simply need to email your apologies to gnso-secs(a)icann.org<mailto:gnso-secs@icann.org>. Should you wish to express your views on a certain agenda item (or several!) you may write to the Council mailing list, or the GNSO Council Leadership team, to ensure they are communicated during the GNSO Council meeting.
