I essentially use mostly quotes from the actual positions taken, but eliminated some of the examples and restatements in those positions. I believe the summaries, however, will be much more easily digestible by those that may not have the time to read every word. This is just a first draft and I hand it over to the Council to take it from here if it finds this helpful. Replacement of Council representative to the CIP-CCG

Hi all, You might recall I volunteered to represent the Council to the cross community group on continuous improvement program (CIP-CCG). I've been struggling to attend the calls of the CIP-CCG due to its difficult meeting times. Currently, the CIP-CCG is scheduled bi-weekly with 2 meeting times, 14:00UTC and 20:00UTC. This means I'll be a standing apology for the 20:00UTC call and miss every other call, which I don't think is ideal as the single representative for the Council. I've discussed with the staff of CIP-CCG several times about adding one more timeslot to its rotation, but unfortunately there's nothing they can do. Therefore, I'm writing to you to apologize and ask for a replacement. The task itself is not heavy just the timing is terrible for those who are based in APAC. I would be happy to stay as an alternate to our new representative in the future, but I'd be grateful if we have a new representative ASAP. Thank you! Best, Manju

Dear Councilors, This is a follow up on the below email. RE: the public comment on the bylaw amendment: Leadership has not received feedback on any SG/C position. However, I can share the tentative RrSG position: the RrSG does not support broadening the original scope of the bylaws amendment beyond that contemplated in recommendation 7 of the CCWG AP (i.e. limiting removal of the accountability mechanisms just for the auction grant program). Among other things, the RrSG is concerned that this broadened scope vests undue power in CCWGs to disallow accountability mechanisms going forward by removing the community safeguard afforded by following a formal bylaws amendment. Given that Council would need a unified position to submit a public comment, I invite councilors to indicate whether their SG's position may align with the RrSG's position. Please provide feedback by 26 March to leave time to draft a comment. If not, I encourage SG's to submit their own public comments (Council's role as a member of the Empowered Community is not strictly relevant at this stage -- a response is not strictly necessary now) RE: ATRT4 Please note any objections to supporting a deferral of ATRT4. If there are none, a short letter will be sent by Council Leadership supporting a deferral at EOD 22 March.
