Thanks Anne. We would need to check but I tend to think the SSC Charter itself is independent of this update: the SSC will just be triggered every two years with the gac liaison EoI for them to provide their recommendation. Their mandate remains the same but they'll just be asked to provide their recommendation more frequently for this particular position. I believe aligning the Liaison's term requirements to councilors is reasonable and urge our colleagues to consider accepting this as our future practice. If I can make one minor suggestion and that is the annual report. Historically we have done the annual report at the annual meeting to coincide with the re-appointment or new appointment of the GAC Liaison. My suggestion would be that we either continue to do that at the annual meeting or alternatively if for whatever reason you believe it should be prior to the annual meeting, then perhaps September 1st of each year. I can endeavor to get my annual report to the Council at that time this year as that is much closer to what I was expecting.
