Dear Councilors, I am circulating this email to the broader Council list as a reminder that public comment is open for both the ICANN and IANA budget. Last cycle, Council determined that no Council-specific comment was warranted. I am not aware of anything that has materially changed in the budget documents or for the Council that would warrant Council comment this year, but I wanted to circulate to see if any councilors thought differently. As always, individual SG/Cs are encouraged to comment in their own capacity. As can be seen from the BOT’s charter<https://gnso.icann.org/sites/default/files/policy/2023/draft/draft-scbo-cha…>, the focus of this group is “to coordinate and facilitate dialogue to fully understand ICANN's strategic and operational planning and budgetary processes” by interfacing “with ICANN Finance to gather information and ask questions as needed.” This is in contrast to the SCBO, which was centered around formulating the Council’s comment specifically.
