Hi Elaine,
There is no joining SPIRT for a single issue. I think maybe the best
solution would be for the SPIRT Charter to mirror language you previously
quoted, which is
*If a policy change is necessary the Board, ICANN org, and the GNSO Council
in consultation with the SPIRT, will identify an appropriate solution to
secure the continuation of the program as well as an appropriate process to
implement it.*
The above language is not what the SPIRT Charter says now but I think it
could work. Your thoughts?
