Registration Data The GAC has a working group on matters of Registration Data following the community’s work * Urgent Requests (with Becky Burr as guest) Conversation to follow a 3-way call on this topic scheduled for 12 Feb. * Billing Contact Update on GNSO’s ongoing discussion of this issue. * Accuracy The GAC wanted an update on our process. We will be discussing this topic at ICANN 83 1. SubPro IRT The GAC submitted public comments to the last portion of the AGB submitted in December. They would like to confirm their support in the process. 1. Latin Diacritics PDP The GAC is happy to receive updates. They received our invitations to participate and GAC members will likely be participating. 1. Sent on behalf of Greg DiBiase Dear Councilors, Per the Latin Script Diacritics PDP WG Charter<https://gnso.icann.org/sites/default/files/policy/2024/draft/draft-charter-…> that was adopted on 19 December 2024, the GNSO Council intends to appoint one Liaison to the WG who is accountable to the Council and seeks a Councilor to serve in this role. The Council member should be able to serve the life of this WG; the first meeting will be held during ICANN82 on Saturday, 08 March 2025. As a reminder, the objective of this PDP WG is to determine the limited circumstances in which a base ASCII gTLD and the Latin script diacritic version of the gTLD can be simultaneously delegated. More details regarding the scope of work and the GNSO Council Liaison’s role can be found in the Charter<https://gnso.icann.org/sites/default/files/policy/2024/draft/draft-charter-…>. Dear GNSO Council Following our SPS session in January, the GNSO IG/WSIS+20 informal group met earlier this week. Bellow are some key activities regarding the WSIS +20 Review process: - WSIS+20 is now accepting proposals for the WSIS High Level Event sessions July, 7-14 and the feedback on the WSIS Action Lines (deadline is March 14: https://www.itu.int/net4/wsis/forum/2025/Home/Consultations) - Reminder: ICANN has set up an outreach network - a mailing list. Various communities are working together to ask for a permanent IGF. You can submit your comment via the WSIS+20 Review Open consultation process above. - If you want to submit an IGF workshop, deadline is March 12 https://intgovforum.org/en/content/igf-2025-call-for-session-proposals - Global Digital Compact: Ongoing work on the implementation.
