Call for Volunteers - GAC Practitioners Group on law enforcement authentication mechanism

Dear Councilors, Following the trilateral call between GAC, Board and GNSO, on 12 February, the GNSO Council would like to share the call for volunteers to join the GAC Practitioners Group on law enforcement authentication mechanisms for urgent requests. The Public Safety Working Group (PSWG) has worked to set up a first call of a Practitioners' Group regarding authentication of Law Enforcement requestors in the context of Urgent Requests for disclosure of registration data. Thursday 20 February at 1600 UTC including participation of FBI, Interpol and Europol, as well ICANN org technical staff. This group is open to participation by any party of the ICANN community that feels they could contribute constructively to the technical discussion and particularly representatives of Registries and Registrars (as "data holders") to ensure that authentication mechanisms proposed will work for their purposes. If you are interested in joining, please reply to this email at your earliest convenience. We would like to extend our appreciation to Anne, Farzi and Seb for already volunteering to contribute to this important effort. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. The GNSO Council confirms the nomination of Glen De Saint Géry to serve as a 2025 ICANN Fellowship Program Mentor for three consecutive ICANN meetings, beginning with ICANN84. 2. Item 5: COUNCIL DISCUSSION - Next Steps for Policy and Implementation Policy Status Report (15 minutes) Action Items: The GNSO Council directs the Standing Committee on Continuous Improvement (SCCI) to review the Policy and Implementation (P&I) Policy Status Report (PSR) and to present the Council with a draft implementation plan, and questions for consideration, if any.
