The Council discussed the main output of that triage effort, the proposed paths forward for each pending recommendation, during an Extraordinary Meeting on 4 May. During that meeting, the Council agreed to further task the small team with taking interim steps (e.g., provision of clarifying information, developing speaking points) in order to support the Council’s dialogue with the ICANN Board on 22 May<https://community.icann.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=240617931>. The update noted the implementation work will result in the launch of the ICANN Grant Program at the end of the first quarter of 2024. The program will distribute the 2012 New gTLD Program [newgtlds.icann.org]<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/newgtlds.icann.org/en/about/program__;!!…> Auction Proceeds in line with the recommendations, as adopted by the ICANN Board<https://www.icann.org/en/board-activities-and-meetings/materials/approved-r…> in June 2022. As implementation progresses, ICANN org has considered organizing a meeting, with former members of the CCWG-AP, should any of the former members be interested and available to participate. This will help to ensure that implementation preserves the intent of the group’s recommendations. Here, the Council will discuss a response to this message. The ICANN Board also “directed ICANN org to continue to engage with the Phase 2 Small Team throughout the development and operation of the System, and ensure periodic publication of the collected usage data, once operational". During that meeting, the Council agreed to further task the small team with taking interim steps (e.g., provision of clarifying information, developing speaking points) in order to support the Council’s dialogue with the ICANN Board on 22 May<https://community.icann.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=240617931>. The Council debriefed after the dialogue with the ICANN Board and discussed next steps. EPDP-IDNs Self-Assessment Survey Result

Hello everyone, As you may recall, in March 2023, the GNSO Council approved a process and questionnaire for Working Groups to conduct periodic Self-Assessments during their lifecycle. These periodic surveys are intended to supplement Self-Assessments that already occur when a Working Group closes. The goal is to provide the GNSO Council with important information about how its Working Groups are functioning and whether there are any issues that may need to be addressed as the Working Group proceeds. After the EPDP-IDNs Team delivered its Phase 1 Initial Report for public comment, this Self-Assessment survey was conducted as an opportunity for the Team to reflect on how it is functioning and whether there are areas that may benefit from improvement. The survey was closed on 3 July 2023. Please find attached the report summarizing the aggregated responses to all the survey questions. This report was shared with the GNSO Council leadership and the EPDP-IDNs Team on 12 July and posted on the EPDP public wiki. For transparency and accountability purposes, this report is now shared with the full GNSO Council upon the leadership request.
