ccNSO Travel Funding Open for Amman Applications

Dear ccTLD community, The ccNSO travel funding committee is now accepting applications to the ICANN meeting in Amman 19 – 24 June 2011. Funding is made available for those who actively participate in the work of the ccNSO and make a special contribution to its projects and meetings. However, you do not need to be a ccNSO member to receive funding! The funding covers an economy class ticket to the travel destination, the hotel costs for the time of the meeting and a per diem. A document with background information and explanations on how the funding shall be distributed is available at http://www.ccnso.icann.org/about/ccnso-travel-funding-09nov10-en.pdf If you think you are eligible to receive funding for the Amman meeting, please send an email to ccnso-travelfunding(a)icann.org by 12.00 noon UTC on the 8 March 2011, at the latest. The email must contain the name and contact details of the applicant as well as a short description of how you think you can contribute to the work of the ccNSO. If you are employed, you must also obtain agreement from the individual that you directly report to at your place of employment, and copy him or her in your application email. You are also very welcome to suggest items that you think should be covered on the meetings agenda. Please, let me know if you should you have any questions, I will be happy to help! Volunteer sought Travel Fund Committee

Dear Councillors, As you know, Ondrej Filip is leaving the Council after the San Francisco meeting. Ondrej has been a member of the Travel Funding Committee, which is responsible for selecting the ccNSO funded travellers. As only Councillors can be involved in the Travel Fund Committee, Ondrej’s seat will become vacant after the San Francisco meeting. I would therefore like to ask for volunteers for this position. The other members of the Committee are Chris (who will be replaced by Lesley), Dotty and I (non-voting).
