The change would require a material change to the respective Registry Agreements and that an amendment is needed in order to effect the change. Status of Action Items Council Call 23 April 2015

Dear all, Please find below an update of the status of the action items from 23 april: Action 106-01: The Secretariat to inform the co-chairs and the membership of the of the CCWG Internet Governance about Young-Eum Lee's appointment as ccNSO co-chair. Completed Action 106-02: The Chair to send a note to the ICANN Board declaring that the ccNSO would be willing to try the new format of interaction between the Board and the ccTLD community, but also reserves its right to come back to the Board with an evaluation of the change. Completed, waiting to hear back from Steve Crocker Action 106-03: The Secretariat to send a Doodle poll to the Council in order to either defer the next Council call to or add another call devoted to the CWG 2nd draft proposal public comments. Written update Agenda point 4.2 ( CWG Stewardship)

Dear all, Please find included Lise's written update as she will not be able to join the call Kind regards, Bart --------------------------------------------- Here is an update regarding CWG: The CWG has sent a 2nd draft out for public comment (PC). The period ends on May 20. There have been difficulties with translating the proposal, so the group has agreed to extend the period until May 26 23:59 UTC for those parties affected by not having a translated version of the proposal. If submitting late because of lack of translation the CWG ask those parties to explain this in the covering note. During the PC the CWG has kept working on outstanding issues like the legal structure of PTI, the composition of a PTI board and separation process. Sidley - the legal advisor has made a Punch List with issues in the proposal that needed clarification and the different Design Teams have been working on solving these. All the issues are discussed in the whole group. The group has reached an initial agreement on moving forward with an internal and lightweight PTI board, a public benefit corporation structure and a separation process that involves creation of a "Separation Cross-Community Working Group". But there is a caveat of the feedback from the PC that will have to be taken into account before any final proposal can be concluded by the group. Next week the CWG is having two intensive working days with 2x3 meetings during Thursday May 28th and Friday May 29th in order to work with the input from PC, outstanding issues and finalize the proposal for the CWG to conclude on the following week.
