17 March 2022 Appointment ccNSO Council Chair and Vice-Chairs Dear John, At its meeting on 10 March 2022 and ion accordance with the temporary election procedure adopted on 24 February 2022, the ccNSO Council appointed Alejandra Reynoso (.gt) as Jordan Carter (.nz) and Adebiyi Oladipo (.ng) as Vice-Chairs. Topics to discuss with the ICANN Board

Dear Councillors As mentioned during our last meeting, we have homework to do. We will need to come up with a list of topics we would like to discuss with the ICANN Board at our joint session in Dublin. So far we have: - WSIS+20: 1. Examples of good internet governance and multi stakeholder activities, such as: 1. RSS GWG | Root Server System Governance Working Group 2. ICP-2 | Internet Coordination Policy 2 3. ccNSO PGA | Policy Gap Analysis 4. Topics discussed in the GAC 2. Consistent messages of success in this area. Making sure we are on the same page. 3. What are we trying to achieve when we raise the topic? - Unresolved issue from previous joint meetings – Playbook for Bylaw Amendments. Goal is to understand how a bylaw change procedure will be initiated under the different scenarios ) SO/AC request, per review, per PDP and timeline from request to approval/ non-rejection 1. First mentioned in Hamburg (Oct 2023) 2. A Playbook was promised in Istanbul (Nov 2024) 3. In Seattle (Mar 2025) ICANN Legal mentioned at the SO/AC Chairs Roundtable that the Playbook was going to be shared in a couple of weeks As you saw in the email we received from Tripti, the Board would like to have our topics/questions by Friday 17 October. Here is a status update (Friday, 26 September at 11:00 UTC): * Africa region: One candidate has been nominated and seconded. * Australia-Asia-Pacific region: Two candidates have been nominated; one has been seconded, the other is pending a confirmation of the seconding. * Europe region: One candidate has been nominated and seconded. * Latin America & Caribbean region: Two candidates have been nominated, and both have been seconded. * North America region: One candidate has been nominated; seconding is still pending. We also welcome a discussion on the conditions and assurances that will contribute to a permanent and improved IGF.
