PLEASE REVIEW: Possible dates 2019 Council Calls

Dear Council and ROs, As discussed on the last call, we have identified potential dates for the 2019 Council calls. Please review these dates and help us identify any potential meeting conflicts. January 27th February 18th or 28th (21st is APTLD) March - Kobe (9-14 March) April 18th May 16 or 23rd June - Marrakech (24-27 June) July/August - 22 August September 19 October 17th November -Montreal (2-7 November) December 19th Please let us know your suggestions, etc. sometime within in the next couple of weeks, after which I will send calendar invites for the entire year (2019). Also, to be consistent, we are considering keeping a 12:00 UTC and 18:00 UTC rotation throughout the year. Let us know if there are any objections (or support) for this suggestion. GDPR webinar on 26 September - rescheduled

Dear all, Please be informed that the planned GDPR update webinar originally scheduled for today Wednesday, 26 September, is being rescheduled. ICANN has decided that it may be more appropriate to take this step to enable the community to continue its discussions, including those planned for this week such as the Expedited Policy Development Process team’s face-to-face meeting in Los Angeles. ICANN will announce the date and time of the rescheduled webinar as soon as possible, together with the date and time for the next community leaders’ update call. ICANN will try to make sure that the rescheduled webinar is at a time that doesn’t conflict with other community discussions, and prior to ICANN63. We will be in touch soon with more details. A valid candidate is one that has been nominated and seconded according to the ccNSO council Election Guideline, and that has accepted the nomination. If there is more than one valid candidate in a Geographical Region, an election shall be conducted in that region. Voting will be by secret ballot: the ballot is identified only by a code and not by a name. Accepting nominations After closure of the nomination period, the Election Manager will ask the candidates that are nominated to accept their nomination. Self-nominations are understood to have accepted their nomination. The Election Manager will provide a list with the name(s) of the candidate(s) who have accepted their nomination. These tools comprise a critical component of the delivery of the IANA functions by PTI. The selected provider, in coordination with PTI, will be responsible for all aspects of development and implementation including design, programming, testing and configuration. All deliverables must be created under formal guidelines with comprehensive documentation. The software will be published under an open source license and must incorporate industry best practices with documented test cases that will be shared with the Internet community.The DNSSEC KSK Management Tools are a set of software utilities to manage the KSK life cycle, including processing Key Signing Requests (KSRs) and generating Signed Key Responses (SKRs), as part of executing the Root Zone KSK ceremonies. PTI seeks a well-qualified provider to develop and maintain this new software based on provided requirements, to provide ongoing maintenance and to develop potential future enhancements.
