If your registry recently has undergone any interesting changes, is kicking off some new initiatives or is facing challenges, which you wish to inform the ccTLD community about please let me know! Call for volunteers: Quorum Interpretation Committee

Dear all, We are now looking for 3-5 volunteers to a new Committee - the Quorum Interpretation Committee - which will look into recommendation 2 of the now closed Quorum Study Group. The Quorum Study Group's final report is available at: ccnso.icann.org/workinggroups/quorum-final-04dec13en.pdf Recommendation 2 in this report suggests: "/The ccNSO to/ Develop a mechanism where ccNSO members can indicate how their ³non-vote² should be interpreted during a voting Abstain/Will not subscribe to policy/Do not count me as quorum (the latter meaning that the member does not consider itself having enough insight on the matter, but does not want to hinder the issue to pass a voting)." The ccNSO Council did not want to approve this recommendation before its meaning and implications had been studied in detail and therefore decided to set up the Quorum Interpretation Committee to do the necessary research. The committee's task is to: 1) Clarify what the various options of ³Abstain² are to mean; 2) Analyse what implications the suggested model could have; 3) Find out the community sentiments on recommendation 2; 4) Based on the outcome - make a final recommendation to the Council; 5) Depending on Council decision: Prepare and manage process A purpose statement with some more details is attached. The Study Group members are expected to participate in bi-weekly conference calls and to actively participate in online discussions between the calls. Legal and organisational experience would be an asset. The Group aims at finishing its main work by the London meeting (22-26 June 2014). Katrina Sataki has been appointed by the ccNSO Council to chair this group. Please, let me know if you wish to participate by Tuesday, 29 April, at the latest. Kind regards, Gabi

IRD WG Interim Report

Dear all, The Internationalised Registration Data Expert Working Group (IRD WG) has published its Interim Report for public comment. It is proposing internationalisation requirements for fourteen categories of data elements currently outputted by the various gTLD registration data directory services.
