The survey aims to measure the level of support for various technical requirements outlined in the WHOIS Service Requirements Report [PDF, 633 KB], as requested of ICANN Staff by the GNSO Council. The survey consists of 15 sections around 11 technical requirements, and it will be made available until 31 October 2012. Afterwards, the WSWG will produce a final report and deliver it to the GNSO Council toward the end of 2012. The report will describe the results of the survey and any agreed upon recommendations by the WG for the GNSO Council's consideration concerning WHOIS. If the participant feels that they may not understand a question or not possess the technical knowledge to answer it appropriately, then the participant is welcome to skip the question and move on to the next one. Dear Members of the European Region, As Juhani Juselius has resigned from his position on the ccNSO Council, a replacement needs to be found. We are therefore launching a Call for Nominations to the ccNSO Council for the European Region, starting on 10 September 2012 at 00.00 UTC, ending on 1 October at 00.00 UTC. See below for further information and instructions. Juhani Juselius has resigned from his position on the ccNSO Council for the European region. Therefore, another ccNSO councillor for the European region needs to elected to fill the term (until March 2015). 2. Call for nominations The bylaws Section 4, Membership, paragraph 8 state: Any ccNSO member may nominate an individual to serve as a ccNSO Council member representing the ccNSO member's Geographic Region. Nominations must be seconded by another ccNSO member from the same Geographic Region. Each member from the European Region can nominate one candidate for election to the ccNSO council and each member from the European Region can second one candidate. Candidates do not need to be resident in the region or a citizen of a country within the region in which they stand for election. In order to nominate or second a candidate, a member must have been a member of the ccNSO by 10 September 2012. Nominations or Seconds should be sent by e-mail to the Nominations Manager at the following e-mail address: ccnso-extranominations(a)icann.org PLEASE NOTE: If you send a Nomination or Second you will receive an email from ICANN asking you to confirm that you have sent an email to ccnso-extranominations(a)icann.org.
