Call for volunteers - WG for the Development of a Framework of Principles for Cross-Community WGs

Dear all, As you may know, from time to time cross-community Working Groups are set up between the Supporting Organisations (SOs) and Advisory Committees (ACs), dealing with topical issues of mutual interest. To structure the operations of future SO/AC Working Groups, a framework of principles needs to be created, which is to guide future Cross Community Working Groups. These principles should clarify matters such as: - defining the topics that should be dealt with; - aligning the scope; - determine how to deal with the output (especially if there is disagreement); - determine when to close the Cross-community Working Group. A more detailed description can be found in the Working Group Charter: http://ccnso.icann.org/workinggroups/ccwg-framework-charter-08apr14-en.pdf We are now looking for volunteers who are willing to dedicate some time on developing such a framework. Any volunteer should be prepared to participate in telephone conferences and actively participate in online discussions. We are especially looking for people who are interested in setting operational principles and process aspects of cross-community working groups. You do not need to be a ccNSO member to participate! Call for volunteers for cross-community WG on Use of Country/Territory Names as TLDs

Dear all, We are looking for volunteers to a new cross-community Working Group on the Use of Country/Territory Names as TLDs. This Working Group is expected to review the current status of representations of country and territory names as they exist under current ICANN policies, guidelines and procedures and to provide advice on whether to develop a framework, applicable across all SO's and AC's – and if so, provide advice to the content of such a framework. A more detailed description of the work and scope of this group can be found in its charter, available at http://ccnso.icann.org/workinggroups/unct-framework-charter-27mar14-en.pdf The Working Group will start its work, basing on the work of its predecessor, the the Working Group on the Use of Names for Countries and Territories as TLDs. Its final report is available at http://ccnso.icann.org/workinggroups/unct-final-08sep12-en.pdf (please, make yourself familiar with it if you are interested in joining!). As a working group member you are expected to attend conference calls and to actively participate in online discussions. We are especially looking for people who have a high interest in regulatory and policy matters. Non-ccNSO members are also very welcome to participate!
