In 2013, the work of the Triage committee started in May and handled 22 requests in total that year (Mayend December 2013). During the same period in 2014 (May end December 2014), the Triage committee handled 39 requests. IANA Stewardship Transition Coordination Group Issues Proposal Assembly and Finalization Process and Updated Transition Process Timeline

Dear all, The IANA Stewardship Transition Coordination Group (ICG) announced its transition proposal Assembly and Finalization Process https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/iana-transition-assembly-finali zation-24dec14-en.pdf [PDF, 89 KB]. This document explains the process that the ICG will follow for assembly and finalization of the IANA Stewardship Transition Proposal. It includes information about the ICANN Board's role in conveying the final transition proposal to NTIA. The ICG has also issued an update to its previously published process timeline https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/icg-process-timeline-07jan15-en. pdf [PDF, 51 KB]. The target dates remain unchanged in the updated timeline, but the explanations of the last two steps in the timeline have been updated for consistency with the Assembly and Finalization Process. Call for volunteers ccNSO Guideline Review Committee

Dear all, The ccNSO Council has decided to set up a ccNSO Guideline Review Committee (³GRC²), which will be tasked to review the current set of ccNSO rules and guidelines, which were adopted around 2008. Since then, the scale of the ccNSO has changed (increased membership, different topics) and the working methods have evolved. This review is independent of the review of the ccNSO itself (anticipated to start in February - March 2016). We are now looking for volunteers to this Committee. The committee¹s task will be to look into all current ccNSO rules and guidelines, to establish whether they reflect current practices and working methods that the ccNSO is using and whether there are any gaps that need to be filled. The GRC is also expected to propose changes to the current rules and guidelines to the Council. The Committee will NOT look into the guidelines for voluntary contributions of ccTLDs to ICANN, nor the Accountability Framework Guidelines. Today, 22 December 2014, the public comment period on the CWG Stewardship Interim Proposal will close. As indicated on their seminar of 17 December 2014, the ccNSO appointed members of the CWG Stewardship Transition, will organize a second seminar , to seek your feed-back and comments on the Interim proposal and the comments of the community, in particular the comments of the ccTLD community. Goal of the dialogue is to inform the ccTLD members of the CWG on the views of the ccTLD community, before the CWG anticipates finalizing discussions of its proposal.
