Dear All Hope you are having a good day. Responding the questions: 1. How will you ensure you stay in touch with your region's ccTLD expectations of the ccNSO? 1. I currently have a very good relationship with the LACTLD community and we have an open channel of communication that is very fluid and unrestricted. On the other hand, I had set up a list of emails of all ccTLD managers of the region (whether they are members of LACTLD, ccNSO or neither). 2. How are you planning to inform your region's ccTLDs of ongoing discussions or decisions from the ccNSO ? 1. I always tweet at the international meetings I attend, like LACTLD or ICANN meetings [please follow me on Twitter: @areynosob]. Additionally I try to have as many conversations as possible with regional ccTLDs at any international event I go. One new thing I would like to achieve is to send a small summary [in Spanish and English] of the ccNSO activities through the email list I mentioned in the previous question. Q How will you ensure you stay in touch with your region's ccTLD expectations of the ccNSO ? Q How are you planning to inform your region's ccTLDs of ongoing discussions or decisions from the ccNSO ? A to both Qs : I've participated in all the APTLD meetings these years and always updated the APTLD members about ccNSO (only exception was the most recent meeting where ccNSO Chair Katrina herself presented about ccNSO). I also heard voices of APTLD members there. Content of the Update covers from what ccNSO is to current topics. In the update session, I get questions and opinions from the members and take it to ccNSO after discussion. In addition, I often chair sessions regarding hot topics such as IDN universal acceptance to share information and opinions more vividly. I will continue to do the above. Intense outreach effort by APTLD GM may help me expand my hand to non-Member ccTLDs. Question: How will you ensure you stay in touch with your region’s ccTLD expectations of the ccNSO ? Although ICANN considers .AS (American Samoa) to be in the North American Region, the actual territory is located in the south pacific, south of the equator, almost 4,800 nautical miles southwest of Los Angeles. My focus is not so much on my actual ICANN region, as I consider it very well served by my colleagues from .CA and .US, but rather on the needs the internet community in America Samoa, as well as their nearby neighbors in the Oceania region, whom ICANN considers (properly) to be in the Asia Pacific region. As many of you know, I also work closely with the Administrator of .vi (US Virgin Islands), providing consultative support on territorial internet related initiatives and outreach efforts to nearby Caribbean neighbors. Question: How are you planning to inform your region’s ccTLDs of ongoing discussions or decisions from the ccNSO ? As noted in my response to the first question. I focus my efforts on American Samoa, its nearby neighbors, and the US Virgin Islands. There is a nascent internet community in American Samoa, and it’s not locally organized, which complicates direct outreach. I would like to propose the time slot tomorrow, Saturday, 5 November, 6:30 pm, i.e., right after the public forum and before the gala (which is around the corner anyway). Would that work for others?
