The webinar will present background and assumptions around costs and fees, the ICANN org analysis and considerations, and some questions for discussion. The webinar will be presented in English with interpretation in Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish available through the Adigo dial-in line. Information Sharing NEW: ICANN Presents Estimated SSAD Costs and Fees to the GAC On 11 January 2022, ICANN org briefed the Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC) on the progress of the Operational Design Phase (ODP) for the System for Standardized Access/Disclosure (SSAD) to Nonpublic generic top-level domain (gTLD) Registration Data. During the session, the SSAD ODP project team presented the estimated costs and fees associated with the SSAD, as well as conclusions the team drew from its work, and fielded questions for discussion. The final product of the ODP is an Operational Design Assessment (ODA), which is expected to be delivered to the Board and published next month. Read more. Information Sharing NEW: FY24 Strategic Outlook Trend Identification Sessions ICANN is kicking off the FY24 Strategic Outlook trend identification process. Community members will have the opportunity to participate in trend identification sessions via their Supporting Organization (SO) or Advisory Committee (AC). ICANN org will collaborate with SO and AC chairs and support teams to schedule their sessions. We are targeting to complete the trend sessions by mid-March. The Strategic Outlook Program is a joint effort of ICANN org, community, and Board to identify and track trends that are related to ICANN. This ensures that these opportunities and challenges are incorporated into current and future planning. Every year, new trends or shifts in existing trends impacting the operating plans (five-year or annual) and/or budget are factored into the annual iteration of those plans as appropriate. Significant shifts could also result in adjustments to the strategic plan. Once complete, ICANN org will conduct a trend analysis and impact assessment. All strategic outlook sessions will be conducted virtually, and community members are encouraged to join this important discussion. We look forward to your participation in this dialogue about ICANN planning and strategy. Reviewing IDN tables for the IDN ccTLDs for security and stability of IDN implementation

Dear Councilors For your information, I received a letter <https://ccnso.icann.org/en/about/botterman-to-reynoso-06jan22-en.pdf> from the ICANN Board on 06 January 2022 regarding Reviewing IDN tables for the IDN ccTLDs for security and stability of IDN implementation. Yesterday I forwarded it to the leadership of the ccNSO PDP4 Working Group, and requested them to ask the Variant Management Subgroup to consider if IDN tables should also be reviewed for a secure and stable design along with the applied-for string, as part of the evaluation for IDN ccTLD applications. I have also requested them to report their findings in due course, and I will then inform the Board accordingly. Dear All, The ccNSO Meetings Programme Committee (MPC) is hosting the next edition of the virtual ccTLD News sessions prior to ICANN73. The MPC has now issued a call for presentations and is seeking speakers on a variety of ccTLD-related topics. Whether you are a seasoned presenter, or this be your first time, we encourage you to submit your proposal to participate in the pre-ICANN73 ccTLD News Session. For the March 2022 edition of the ccTLD News Sessions, the MPC particularly welcomes proposals that fit into one of the two themes below: 1. Meet the members providing a platform for newer ccTLD community members ccTLD News Session #1, held on Wednesday, 2 March 2022 (13:00-15:00 UTC) 2. Capacity building efforts by ccTLDs ccTLD News Session #2, held on Thursday, 3 March 2022 (07:00-09:00 UTC) Do you have a best practice example or project solution you want to share with peers? A recent development from your ccTLD, or perhaps some legal or operational news that is engaging, relevant and informative to other ccTLDs from across the world? Each session will have a separate agenda. Sessions are 120 minutes long, with a break in between, and opportunity to ask questions. All sessions will be recorded. Previous editions of the ccTLD News Sessions had an excellent collection of case studies, statistics, new developments, trends and more. The ccTLD News Sessions have been a part of the ccNSO Members Meetings for several years and has provided a global platform for both experienced and new people to meet, share experiences and discuss ccTLD-related aspects. Call for Volunteers: The ccNSO seeks members to the ccNSO Internet Governance Liaison Committee (IGLC)

Dear All, The ccNSO seeks additional volunteers for the ccNSO Internet Governance Liaison Committee (IGLC). The IGLC has been established to coordinate, facilitate, and increase the participation of ccTLD managers in discussions and processes pertaining to Internet Governance. The call for volunteers will close on Friday, 28 January 2022 (23:59 UTC). Potential IGLC members and those want to learn more about the work of the IGLC are kindly invited to a 1-hour webinar, hosted by IGLC chair Pierre Bonis (.fr). The webinar will be held on Wednesday, 19 January 2022 at 08:30 UTC. The group encourages participation from all geographic regions and by volunteering you commit to participate in and contribute to the meetings and to the work in between those meetings. Working method The committee meets on a monthly basis through Zoom and might decide to meet during the ICANN public meetings. The working language of the committee is English. How to apply?
