ICANN San Francisco - lunch

Greetings, Currently, the price per person for catered lunch at the hotel in San Francisco is US$85 and on that basis we cannot possibly expect anyone to sponsor lunch for us. It is an outrageous amount of money even if we had multiple sponsors for each lunch so that the cost was covered. ICANN meetings staff have been working very hard to negotiate a lower price but up until now have had no success. So we have decided to steer those that were considering sponsoring lunch into contributing sponsorship to our ccNSO dinner. We will try to provide you all with a list of close by places to buy different sorts of lunches. If there is any change, I'll let you know. Proposed timeline nomination period AP region

Dear Councillors, In order to kick off the call for nominations in the AP region as soon as possible (so that we know who the new Councillor is in time for the San Francisco meeting), I would like to ask you to agree on the following timeline: 16 February: Call for nominations AP region 2 March: Closure of nomination period 4 March: Last day for nominee(s) to accept nomination + send out their mission statement 7 March: Launch of elections (if needed) 14 March: Closure of election period 16 March: Approval of candidate by Council If no one objects by 12.00 noon UTC on the 15 February, I take it that this timeline has been approved.
