Given the lack of consensus, coming out of the Subsequent Procedures Workgroup, there is currently no policy in place, leaving the development of a policy on Closed Generics in the hands of the board. As usual, this is an informal meeting intended to prepare for all the sessions in which we are directly participating or might be relevant for our work as Councillors, therefore, I hope you will all be able to attend. Below you will find the agenda for our prep call. Please note that: - We are still missing people to lead a topic or to report back from a session during our council meeting in ICANN 72. Think about this and don't hesitate to volunteer (or you might be voluntold 😉 ) - I have not included all the ccTLD relevant sessions. Dear All. The draft PTI and IANA FY23 Operating Plan and Budgets are out for public comments. The IANA OP&B includes the PTI OP&B, activities related to the contract oversight, and activities incurred by ICANN. Once the PTI OP&B is adopted by the PTI Board, it is then incorporated into the broader IANA OP&B, which is considered by the ICANN Board to support the operations of the IANA Functions. The report outlines the criteria that the NomCom was given when searching for potential candidates, and recaps its outreach activities and pre-selection process. Dear all, To ensure the coordination between the ccNSO ccPDP4 work and GNSO IDN EPDP effort you are asked to appoint Anil Kumar Jain (NIXI) as alternate ccNSO appointed liaison to GNSO EPDP effort. The alternate will provide the necessary update to and from the ccPDP4 group from a ccNSO perspective only when the appointed liaison is not able to attend and when needed suggest additional actions to coordinate the two PDPs Both Alireza and Anil have agreed to this arrangement. ccNSO: what to expect at ICANN72?

Hello All, The ICANN72 Policy Outlook Report is now available. Read the latest report here >> https://go.icann.org/outlook72 Written by the Policy Development Support function, the ICANN72 Policy Outcomes report captures decisions and outcomes from the Supporting Organizations and Advisory Committees. This report also reviews additional activities, looks ahead, and provides resources to enable sustained engagement on highlighted issues. ccNSO: what to expect at ICANN72? The Country Code Names Supporting Organization (ccNSO) program begins on Monday, 25 October with Tech Day<https://community.icann.org/x/zgJyCg>, a workshop open to all community members with an interest in technical, operational, and security topics. The ccNSO Members Meeting<https://community.icann.org/x/hAEuCg> starts on Tuesday, 26 October with an opportunity for members to participate in a question and answer session with candidates for the ccNSO Council, followed by a session with focus on governance of the ccNSO. ICANN72 marks the fourth ccNSO Governance Session, building on the previous discussions between the ccNSO Council and Members to update internal rules<https://ccnso.icann.org/about/ccnso-rules-dec04-en.pdf> of the ccNSO. On Tuesday, 26 October there will be a meeting of the Strategic and Operational Planning Committee (SOPC<https://ccnso.icann.org/en/workinggroups/sopiwg.htm>) on the use of the ICANN Prioritization Framework. The program will continue on Wednesday, 27 October, with a ccNSO session on DNS Abuse. The goal of the session is to understand what the ccNSO should do with respect to DNS abuse, in addition to what is already happening at the local and regional ccTLD level. Based on the guidance of the ccTLD community, the ccNSO Council will plan the ccNSO involvement in the discussions pertaining to DNS abuse and related activities that could assist ccTLDs. On Thursday, 28 October, there will be a ccNSO Council<https://community.icann.org/x/sYS1CQ> meeting, followed by a meeting of the Top-Level Domain Operations (TLD-OPS) Standing Committee.
