Adoption ccNSO Guidelines and charters

Dear all, As discussed in Marrakesh, the decisions on the draft Guidelines and associated charters was deferred to online decision making For you reference: I have included all proposed Guidelines in PDF and a link to the Guideline review committee wiki space: https://community.icann.org/display/ccnsowkspc/Docs+by+Topic. I have also included a correlation matrix between current existing Guidelines ( which can be found at: http://ccnso.icann.org/about/guidelines.htm) and the proposed Guidelines. Finally, Included a draft resolution on adoption of the proposed Guidelines and Charters. Could you indicate whether you want further discussion, or object to it by 28 March 2016 17.00 UTC? Thank you and ind regards, Bart Draft Resolution Background Over the past several months the ccNSO Guidelines Review Committee (GRC) has made good progress in its work to review and update the ccNSO Guidelines (http://ccnso.icann.org/about/guidelines.htm) As you may recall the GRC gave an update of its work to date to the community during the ccNSO Members Meeting in Marrakech on Tuesday, March 8, from 14:45 to 15:15, local time. The work of the GRC touches on the documents that the ccNSO community uses to guide all aspects of its work, including, among others, matters as how to conduct a members and council meetings, select board and council members, dvelop ccNSO community statements, adopt and pursue work plans, and assign roles and responsibilities of Council members. After consultation of the ccTLDs present in Marrakesh, the GRC intends to the following Guidelines and Charter to Council for adoption. In some case, and once adopted the new Guidelines and charter will replace existing Guidelines and charters: Guidelines - Guideline: ccNSO Work Plan - Guideline: ccNSO Working Groups - Guideline: ccNSO Roles and Responsibilities - Guideline: ccNSO Statements - Guideline: ccNSO Meetings - Guideline: ccNSO Collaboration Groups with a Limited Scope Charters - Charter: ccNSO Meeting Programme WG - Charter: ccNSO Council Triage Committee Draft Decisions The ccNSo Council adopts the following Guidelines and Charters as proposed by the ccNSO Guideline Review Committee (GRC WG): - Guideline: ccNSO Work Plan - Guideline: ccNSO Working Groups - Guideline: ccNSO Roles and Responsibilities - Guideline: ccNSO Statements - Guideline: ccNSO Meetings - Guideline: ccNSO Collaboration Groups with a Limited Scope Charters - Charter: ccNSO Meeting Programme WG - Charter: ccNSO Council Triage Committee The ccNSO Secretariat is requested to publish the above mentioned Guidelines and Charter as soon as possible after adoption by the Charter on the ccNSO Website, inform the community accordingly, and archive those Guidelines which will be replaced by the adopted version. The Guidelines will become effective 7 days after publication of the Guidelines and Charters on the ccNSO Website.

Dear All, The invitation letter for ICANN56 Policy Forum in Helsinki, Finland, 27-30 Jun 2016 is now open. Individuals that will need a visa to enter Finland and/or any Schengen country to attend the meeting can go to https://invitationletters.icann.org/, to apply for the letter. The local host will be supplying the local host letter to those who apply on the ICANN invitation letter website. We highly urge individuals who do not have a valid Schengen visa to apply as early as possible as the visa process is time consuming. All participants who apply for a visa will have to book an appointment to have their fingerprints taken and etc. In some locations, Finland is represented by another government, in these cases our local host will have no way to influence the application process. The deadline for visa application is May 31, 2016. Dear All, The ccNSO travel funding committee is accepting applications for the ICANN56 Policy Forum in Helsinki, Finland, 27-30 Jun 2016, since last week (Thursday 10 March 6 pm). The deadline for submitting travel funding applications is 24 March 2016, 12.00 noon UTC. IMPORTANT: Once you filled out the online application form, you will receive an automated email from confirmsystem(a)icann.org. Kindly read the instructions in this email carefully, and confirm your application via the link contained in that e-mail. In case you did not receive a confirmation email, we advise you to re-submit your application, to ensure it is duly processed. The June 2016 meeting is a so-called Meeting B, specifically focused on policy making and on-going work within ICANN Communities. Funding to attend and participate in ICANN56 is made available to a small set of travellers, who meet the following requirement: They actively participate in the work of the country code Name Supporting Organisation, and make a special contribution to its projects and meetings, at the occasion of ICANN56. The funding covers an economy class ticket to the travel destination, the hotel costs for the time of the meeting and a per diem. Dear All, With the announcement of ICANN56 relocation to Helsinki, Finland the application round to participate in the NextGen@ICANN Program at Meeting B* in June 2016 is now open. This round remains open until 18 April 2016 and successful candidates will be announced on the ICANN website, 2 May 2016.
