Dear all, Please find below a status update on the actions from the Council call on 17 April: Action 94-01: Demi Getschko to send an update to the Council email list on the developments around NETmundial. Not completed Action 94-02: Bart Boswinkel and Becky Burr to amend the draft statement by the IANA Transfer Coordination Committee to accommodate the comments made and to re-circulate it to the Council email list in order to submit it to ICANN prior to 8th May. Completed Action 94-03: The Secretariat to investigate the options for limiting the number of Working Group members for the UCTN Working Group without excluding anyone and advise the Council on the email list subsequent to the NETmundial meeting. Dear all, Carolina Aguerre will not be present during today's Council call, however, she has sent following written update on the MAG meeting outcomes: == > I¹ll be traveling at the time of the ccNSO call today, but I wanted > nevertheless to send an update on the MAG meeting that ended yesterday in > Paris. > The important issues for the group are the following: > - NETmundial¹s takeaways and improvements for the IGF will be captured > in a main session and an open MAG meeting at the IGF (this last is still tbd), > as well as a session to be lead by the NETmundial organizers on day 0. > > - There was great convergence of topics addressed by workshop > proponents and NETmundial¹s interests (how to implement multistakeholder modes > of governance; Net Neutrality; privacy and surveillance). > > - There will be a main session on Sept. 5 on the IANA stewardship > transition which will cover both IANA and ICANN¹s accountability.
