Suggestions for volunteers AoC Review Teams for Security, Stability and Resilience of the DNS and Whois

Dear all, ICANN is inviting volunteers to apply for position of a volunteer Review Team Member on the following Review Teams: - Preserving security, stability and resiliency (SSR) of the DNS (two members endorsed by ccNSO); - WHOIS policy (one member endorsed by the ccNSO). To date no volunteer from the ccTLD community has applied. As you may recall from the Brussels meeting, it was suggested that the volunteer for the WHOIS panel would be a person with extensive knowledge of European Privacy law. With regard to the second panel ( SSR), obviously expert substantive knowledge would be useful as well. As the application date for volunteers closes at 15 July at 23.59 UTC, could you suggest potential candidates by the end of this week ( 9 July), so they can be approached next week? Note: Applicants who intend to represent the ccNSO need to be endorsed by the ccNSO. To question 2: No, you do not need to be present physically during the ICANN meetings. You can participate remotely. Adding observer to IDN PDP WG 1

Dear Councillors, Andrei Kolesnikow from .ru asked if we could add his colleague Irina Danelia (also from .ru) to the IDN PDP Working Group 1 as an observer. He feels that she would be able to contribute more to the working group than he currently is able to. Irina needs to be formally approved by the Council, so unless you have any objections by the 12th July, I take it that she has been approved. Thanks, Gabi
