Dear All, The ccNSO DNS Abuse Standing Committee (DASC) seeks your input. The DASC wishes to better understand the ccTLD landscape when it comes to DNS Abuse, and to determine how to best serve ccTLDs. The DASC now launches a survey among members of the ccNSO and the broader ccTLD community. Read this announcement on the ccNSO website<https://ccnso.icann.org/en/news/announcements?year=2022>. You are kindly invited to participate in the survey, and to share this invite with colleagues within your organisation, as well as peers from the ccTLD community. Your input is valuable, and guides future work by the DASC. Kindly note that responses are limited to one (1) per ccTLD. Go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DASC0922 The deadline for submitting your response is Friday, 15 October 2022 (23:59 UTC). The survey contains 34 questions in total, divided over 5 phases in the domain name registration process. The survey should take no more than 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Results will be published on the ccNSO website, however there will be an opportunity to opt-out to the publication of your ccTLD identifier. We thank you for taking the time to respond to our survey. The overarching purpose is to raise understanding and awareness of the issues pertaining to DNS Abuse, promote open and constructive dialogue, and ultimately to assist ccTLD Managers in their efforts to mitigate the impact of DNS Abuse. In addition, they will present the proposed Statement of Interest procedure, and the related Conflict of Interest procedure for ccNSO Councilors. At ICANN75, the GRC will seek community feedback/temperature of the room and will use Mentimeter. The responses will be limited to ccTLDs only. Dear all, The ccNSO PDP Review Mechanism Working Group will present the review mechanism it has developed for decisions pertaining to the delegation, transfer, revocation, and retirement of ccTLDs at ICANN75. This is the opportunity for the ccTLD community to provide feedback and input to the WG. At the community consultation on Tuesday, 20 September, the PDP3 RM WG will ask a series of polling questions to gauge support to pertinent key points. This is not a vote, but rather an opportunity to engage the CC community and solicit comments for discussion. *Background item 4 Council prep call and item C.3. of Council agenda meeting 187* *Introduction* ICANN has opened the public comment period on the proposed Terms of Reference for the Pilot “Holistic” Review. The “Holistic” review was proposed by the ATRT review team and as such supported by the community and the recommendations were adopted by the Board. At the prep meeting ICANN org staff will provide clarification on the process and proposed Terms. At the ccNSO Council meeting the ccNSO Council will be asked the question whether it intends to provide comment as a Council (using the ccNSO Statement procedure for Council) on the proposed Terms of Reference and seek volunteers for the drafting team. *Timeline to develop ccNSO Council position paper* Under the assumption Council will want to provide comments by 20 October 2022, 23.59 UTC, the following timeline is proposed: 1. 22 September 2022, Council meeting: Decision to launch ccNSO Council Statement process and appoint volunteers 2. 29 September 2022 (post ICANN75): first call drafting team. Members are expected to have read relevant background material (initial list included) toindicate areas to comment and make suggestions 3. 4, 6 and 11 October 2022 - Drafting team calls (tentatively) 4. 13 October 2022: sign-off draft by drafting team, send draft o Council for comments 5. 17 October 23.59 UTC : final comments Councillors 6. 18-19 October: drafting team update draft 7. 20 October: Council decision to adopt draft and submit. To make this work the drafting team members should be willing and able to attend the scheduled calls and read the documentation prior to calls.
