This year the ICANN’s AGM (ICANN75) will be held mid-September 2022, and the next meeting (ICANN76) is foreseen for mid-March 2023. For discussion and decision: Should the Q&A session with the candidates for Board Seat 11 and ccNSO Council be conducted during the AGM, or should it be done virtually, after ICANN75 (for example early November 2022)? This will have a direct impact on the timeline. 1. Impact upcoming change Article 10 and Annex B to include IDNccTLDs in the ccNSO For discussion Background. The ICANN Board of Directors adopted the proposed changes of Article 10 and Annex B of the Bylaws. The Bylaw change is now subject to a rejection action process. If any Supporting Organizations, Advisory Committees, stakeholder, or constituency groups would like to hear from the SubPro ODP team, please email subpro-odp(a)icann.org to schedule time with us. Please be sure to include any specific topic areas for discussion or if you prefer a general update. NEW: NextGen@ICANN Mentor Program Nominations The nomination period for the NextGen@ICANN Mentor Program is now open. Nominations must be submitted by no later than Monday, 1 August 2022. The community-nominated mentor will be responsible for overseeing the mentor process. Communities may choose to appoint program alumni and are encouraged to appoint active community members who have an interest in mentoring students. Guidelines for the program can be found here. Bad actors seek new ways to install malware on devices without the user's consent to gather sensitive information or gain access to private computer systems. They also trick users into revealing sensitive personal, corporate or financial information – this is known as phishing. Read more. NEW: ICANN Publishes the Proposed for Adoption FY23 Plans for Board Consideration ICANN org published the Proposed for Adoption ICANN FY23 – 27 Operating and Financial Plan and the ICANN FY23 Operating Plan and Budget, which will be considered for adoption by the ICANN Board at the end of May. Publishing the plans is an important step in ensuring transparency by showing how the comments received through the Public Comment process were addressed. Read more.
