Dear all, The nomination period to the ccNSO Council has now ended. Following people were nominated and seconded: African Region: Ntahigiye Abibu, .tz Asia-Pacific Region: Keith Davidson, .nz and Xiantang Sun, .cn European Region: Lesley Cowley, .uk Latin American and Caribbean Region: Luis Diego Espinoza, .cr North American Region: Becky Burr, .us (you can also view the nomination results in the archives at http://forum.icann.org/lists/ccnso-nominations/) All candidates have accepted their nominations. In the case of the Asia-Pacific region, an election will be held. The elections will start on 29 October 2012. ICANN Meetings Strategy Proposal

Dear all, ICANN has published a "Consolidated Meetings Strategy Proposal", including a list of criteria for selecting meeting locations. Also, it suggests that the first meeting of the year is to be held in two cities in Asia Pacific. Dear ccNSO Members, On behalf of our Canadian hosts and all sponsors, I am pleased to invite you to the ccNSO Members dinner, which will take place on 16 October 2012 at "The Carlu". The event starts at 19.00, buses will be departing from the Westin Castle Hotel at 18.30. Please, let me know if you are attending the dinner by 8 October 2012 at the latest. Please, indicate if you have any special food requirements!!! In order to accommodate as many registries as possible, we can unfortunately only accept three members per registry – any further members will be placed on a reserve list and might obtain a seat closer to the event (depending on how full the dinner list gets).
