Dear all, This is just a reminder that tomorrow, Thursday, 30 April is the last day to submit your suggestions for presentations during the ccNSO meeting in Buenos Aires. In particular, we are looking for presentations suitable for our traditional ccTLD News session, but we are also seeking contributions to a session on "the ccTLD Market Landscape: trends, changes, challenges". If you think you can contribute with a presentation please, fill in this form: Exact title of presentation: Name of presenter: Short summary of presentation (2-3 sentences): Estimated time needed: This information is crucial for our Programme Working Group, in order to be able to plan the sessions. The summary will also be published online prior to the meeting, so that all participants can read and know what to expect. Depending on the amount of proposals, the Programme Working Group can¹t always guarantee a slot to all volunteers, but will have to make a selection. WEBINAR: Further Discussion on the CWG-Stewardship 2nd Draft Proposal for Public Comment The Cross Community Working Group to Develop an IANA Stewardship Transition Proposal for Naming Related Functions (CWG-Stewardship) released its 2nd draft proposal for public comment on 22 April (https://www.icann.org/public-comments/cwg-stewardship-draft-proposal-2015-0 4-22-en). Following the opening of the public comment proceeding, the CWG-Stewardship Chairs hosted two briefing webinars on 24 April. The briefing webinars on 24 April focused on the CWG-Stewardship work process, development of the 2nd draft proposal, and provided an overview of the contents and proposed structural model. The CWG-Stewardship Chairs will now host a follow-up series of webinars to brief interested community members on the content of the 2nd draft proposal, and to respond to questions that have surfaced since the briefings on 24 April. Second-class councillors

I am reluctiant to imitate too much the ccNSO's inconvenient conscience; nontheless, asking "through the Chair" . . . . . . it very recently has come to my attention that there appear to be two classes of Councillors in the ccNSO .. That is, there appears to be a difference in the rights, obligations and privileges of those Councillors seated by the NomCom (i.e. from outside the ccTLD community) and those of us, like me, who are elected from within the community. In particular, I understand that NomCom appointed councillors are not permitted to be subscribed to the general mailing lists, and I am not sure what other differences there may be. My understanding of the by-laws is that Supporting Organisations' Council Members serve in an individual capacity once seated, and must serve the interests of both their SO, and (while not subject to the fiduciary duties of ICANN Board members) must also serve the Corporation and the wider public, multi-stake holder, interest. In other words, once appointed, Councillors are equal. I have not yet found anywhere in the by-laws which might support differentials, but this may, (as is often the case) be due to my haste in reading. Perhaps someone could assist me in this, please?

Dear all, The summary below is sent on behalf of the SECIR Working Group Chair Cristian Hesselman. === Summary SECIR Conference Call #13 The ccNSO working group ³Secure Email Communication for cccTLD Incident Response² (SECIR) held its thirteenth conference call on Fri Apr 10. We discussed the following topics: (1) TLD-OPS status. The number of ccTLDs that have subscribed to the TLD-OPS list has grown to 97 from 77 since our last conference call on Mar 20. The ccNSO Secretariat has been inviting ccTLDs in batches since ICANN52 and has now invited everyone. The WG will ramp up its outreach activities to get ccTLDs on board who have not managed to respond to their invitation yet (see point 3). (2) TLD-OPS leaflet. We OK¹ed the leaflet we created to help ccTLDs subscribe to the TLD-OPS list (see attachment). The leaflet is for distribution within the ccTLD community only, either by email or through hardcopies at relevant community meetings. (3) Outreach activities. We discussed various outreach activities we¹ll be undertaking until ICANN53 to get even more ccTLDs on the list, such as the announcement of the 100th ASCII ccTLD subscriber and a short presentation at the ccNSO Members Day in Buenos Aires to update the community. Our next conference call will take place in the week of May 11.
